we have collected a lot information and solution how to fix the problem from steamcommunity forum
some of you have been experiencing random crashes preventing you from enjoying the game :
there is a Dead Rising 3 blank screen, it doesn’t let you escape or return to the desktop apart from turn the pc off by the power button.
crash to desktop at startup / loading :
Gets past the capcom logo and then gets to the deadrising 3 title screen and then crashes to desktop.
Dead Rising 3 Crash to Desktop, Loading Screen, Random Crashes Fix
1) Right-click Dead Rising 3 in your game library. Select “properties”, select the “LOCAL FILES” tab, and click “VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE” to ensure that there aren’t any missing or corrupt local version of your files.
2) Nvidia users: rollback to GeForce 335.23 WHQL drivers
another solution how to fix dead rising 3 freezes and crashes :
somebody found out that a file is missing! he said we should use this file : coregameplay_sgraph.bin and put it in the folder “steamapps \ common \ deadrising3 \ data \ Gameplay” it fixed the loadingscrash for me (amd)
I kept getting random crashing after 10 mins etc
Realised that I had re-enabled subsurface scattering, turnd it off and not had one crash since. I have no idea if turning it off affects anythign major that is seen, doesn’t seem to though.
So, if you are getting random crashes, turn off subsuraface scattering, hoepfully it will work for you.
Dead Rising 3 Remove 30 FPS Cap / Low FPS Fix
When I first played this I was getting lag 10-20 fps on low settings. But I think I found a fix, I ran it in window mode with fraps to see how much fps I get, and I’ve shot up to 50-70 fps! This worked for me so hopefully it’ll work for you! 🙂
This is Bordo fix for how to run DR3 on 21:9 Screens :
Open the File “viewport.txt” in your Installed Folder “Steam\SteamApps\common\Dead Rising 3\data\datafile\” then simple download and replace the original file with this Viewport.txt
Now you can play in Fullscreen. 🙂
16:10 and 4:3 not tested (work in progress) !! But 21:9 works fine!!! 🙂
Main Menu & Loading Screen 2D Pictures supports only 16:9, you can see in the background (left&right side out of 16:.9) the 3d world (looks buggy), but ingame it works fine after loading the level. 🙂 Have fun!
